About Wags Walks N Whiskers

Wags Walks n Whiskers is here to ensure all of your pet’s unique needs are being met. We understand how important it is for your pet to be cared for and loved while you are away. With this in mind, we strive to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible so they are safe, happy and comfortable while in our care. Our pets are members of our family and we will treat your babies like they are our own!

Cherie has been a life long pet owner and a caring and compassionate friend to all animals, and has been trying to pet them all since 1977! She has been involved in volunteering for animal welfare and rescue since middle school. Prior to opening her pet sitting and dog walking business, she earned a degree in business administration and has worked in many aspects of customer service and office management over the years.

In addition to working and raising a family, Cherie began pet sitting on the side for friends and family members. In 2018 Wags Walks n Whiskers was founded and Cherie made the leap to a career that she is passionate about.

Cherie was born and raised in North Haledon, NJ and now runs the company with her husband Michael. Their family consists of their 3 animal loving children, 2 dogs, a cat, many fish (and often a foster dog temporarily residing with the family!)
